Nature calls.....!!!!

Rising temperature, changing geographical patterns, scarcity of water all point towards our callous and irresponsible attitude towards the mother earth. Why in a race of scientific achievements we are leaving behind the beautiful organic Nature?

Of course, science has produced greatest gifts for humankind that has made our lives so convenient and fast but what are the resources that we have employed to create these, Yes, nature has given us these. Do we ever realize what we give it back.....the industrial waste, pollution, scrap and biggest of them all "Plastic" which cannot even be recycled.

We are cutting more and more trees and building this concrete jungle reserving the land for just the social animals. How selfish can we be? The efforts like the anti-pollution and stop animals killings have been on since years now but the results have not very encouraging. People love buying animal skin made clothes, bags and even kill them for fun. Many species of birds and animals like Tasmanian Wolf, Caspian Tiger have already disappeared and there many more species on verge of extinction. It's us who can save these endangered animals as they say if buying can stop so can the killing.
Even our small efforts like planting few trees, stop using polythenes and showing little concern for the wildlife and make huge impacts and keep the earth green and living for our coming generations.

It is my Dadu's Birthday

Happy Birthday Baba!!!!

I wan't to take this opportunity to tell all my friends that the person I have looked upto all my life is my dearest Grandfather. Not just me, I am sure he has been a source of inspiration for everyone in my family and close relatives, even if they don't admit.

I have never met a person more intelligent yet so down to earth and polite in my life. When I talk of intelligence I don't mean just the bookish 'Gyan', I mean the knowledge about history, politics, General knowledge....and what not!

I remember my Dadu telling me about the World Wars and not just what we get to read from books but history which is much more real.
he has been my Maths teacher since childhood. I reckon of him yelling at us to study Maths throughout the year, and we never following this mantra, use to make Baba awake all night teaching us. God knows how he knew what questions are gonna be in the exam......

Born in a Zamindari clan, baba was never a person who was satisfied and arrogant for what he had. He was never happy with the easy flow of money. He was a bright student. The subjects interested him the most were physics and mathematics. (Yes, numbers were his favorite).
Leaving all the luxuries behind him, he left from Etawah, our ancestral home, to Kanpur, to pursue his engineering. Thereafter, he joined a company for a small amount. By that time, he was married, had family and Back in Etawah most of our ancestrol properties were taken by Government. With his small salary but extra ordinary confidence he managed the family of 3 children really well. I have never seen my baba loosing hope. Babu did really well in his career. He was sent to Germany, England, Taiwan during his service. And because of that we get to know so much about how the people differ in terms their taste, attitude and living life in different countries. Although been to different places, baba always tell us that our Country is far Great than any other country in the whole world.

Although my Baba has turned 81 today, he is much more energetic and so full of life what we are not even at our age. He wakes up at 6 in the morning and all through day I never see him sitting idle. Either busy with household work or I see him fixing Mixcy, Geysers and what not. We never had to call someone to repair appliances fro outside, Baba always managed to fix them.

I want to write so much more about him. His passion for collection of coins, currency notes, stamp, or his great love for plants. Not to forget, his unbelievable talent of carving from thermacol waste and making beautiful art pieces. I wish i could get some pictures of some of those pieces.

I want to tell you my dadu, today, that you are the only person who has inspired, motivated and set an example of living life with the full discpline yet fun. I respect you the most in this whole world and above all love you alot.
